Abstract
The very recent literature on single molecule magnets is reviewed. The focus is on single molecule magnets (SMMs) that show high energy barriers to relaxation of magnetisation. The first section covers monometallic dysprosium based SMMs and shows correlations between the energy barrier and structural parameters. The second section includes a discussion of single molecule toroids and SMMs where lanthanide centres are bridged by radicals. The literature of polymetalic lanthanide SMMs reported in 2019 is précised. In the final section monometallic 3d-metal SMMs are reviewed.
