Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has considerably disrupted health care delivery, presenting challenges for dermatologists. We investigated the scope of delayed treatment for melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers in relation to other cancer types during the COVID-19 pandemic. Respondent data from the National Health Interview Survey (NHIS) was analyzed for the year 2020. Data included demographic information as well as delays and cancellations of cancer treatments due to the coronavirus pandemic. Multivariate odds ratios were calculated using the statistical software, IBM SPSS.
