Abstract
Over a decade ago, Beidas and Kendall (2010) noted that while both the American Psychological Association (APA) and AACAP enthusiastically encouraged the delivery of evidence-based practices (EBPs), most clients with mental illness did not receive EBPs. Remarkably, little has changed in this regard since that time. Barriers to effective uptake and implementation include lack of sufficient training resources, lack of organizational support, and the absence of active, dynamic supervision (Cook, Schwartz, and Kaslow, 2017).
