Abstract

Motion blur edge width is obtained by using a contrast sensitivity function of eye. Correlation with an eye perceived blur edge width is improved. The improvement is large in the case of abnormal transition. We set a standard analysis condition of 8 deg/s velocity and 3H viewing distance. Measured blur widths are compared with a subjective test. This study is done to establish IEC standard method.
