Abstract
Temperature and white blood cell (WBC) count serve as diagnostic markers for sepsis and septic shock, however the ability of these parameters to predict sepsis in the early course of disease is unknown. We examined the value of temperature and WBC count in the emergency department (ED) evaluation of sepsis.
