Abstract

In order to establish the failure mechanism by complicated hot corrosion in the high-efficiency Waste-to-Power (WTP) plant boilers, corrosive failure analysis was conducted by using the alloy 625specimen practically used as super heater tube of the advanced MSW incinerator boiler at Tsukui. On the basis of corrosive failure analyses using different analytical instruments such as TG-DTA, ICP, EDS, and FE-EPMA, the complicated hot corrosion process and mechanism were discussed.
