Abstract

The analytical and experimental evaluations of the newly developed panel type solar cooker are performed in the study to show its practicality and efficiency especially for the use in the developing countries. The developments of two kinds of panel type solar cookers are introduced in the paper. One is a small and less expensive cooker for the educational purpose aimed for the use in the elementary or junior high schools. The other is a relatively larger foldable cooker with durable material intended for the use in the developing countries. Both analyses and experiments show that these cookers work sufficiently for the all sun elevations.
