Abstract

This epidemiological study looked at the maxillofacial fractures in non-indigenous ethnic groups who were seen in a maxillofacial unit in Dublin. Our belief is that grouping the non-indigenous together with the indigenous ethnic group would not an insight to this set of injuries. This unique study is based on the fact that due to net inward migration, Ireland has transformed gradually into a diverse, multi-cultural country in the last few decades, with the majority of residing in Dublin the capital city.
