Abstract
A 1×4 microstrip antenna array based on SICL (Substrate Integrated Coaxial) transmission line structure is designed in this paper. The antenna array operates in the X-band (8-12 GHz) and consists of a SICL-based T-type power divider, a SICL-microstrip line adapter, and a circularly polarized microstrip antenna unit. The power divider designed by SICL transmission line technology has low loss and good shielding performance, and can realize an ultra-wide working bandwidth. And the microstrip circularly polarized antenna unit is fed by H-type slot coupling, and has the characteristics of wide working bandwidth, high gain and good circular polarization. After arrayed, it can be seen from the simulation results of HFSS that the 1×4 antenna array has good radiation characteristics in the working frequency band of 8-12 GHz, achieving an impedance bandwidth of 20.5% and the main lobe gain of 12.17 dBi.
