Abstract
AbstractIn this paper, we offer a novel backlighting solution for LCD TVs. Xe, Ne or Hg vapor are discharged through parallel channels. Permeable passageway between insulated glass channels equalizes gas pressure and maintains discharge uniformity. This monolithic lamp, designed for 12000 cdm2, is capable of high brightness, long life, and mass production.
