Abstract
Study Objectives: Sleep is crucial for the optimal function of all human beings, physicians included. As administrations have begun to focus on the well-being of healthcare workers, more studies are needed to determine how current working patterns affect emotional and physical well-being of these workers. It is therefore important to understand the effects of the demands of residency training on sleep quality. The goal of this study was to better evaluate the characteristics of junior physicians’ sleep and to determine how shift work impacts sleep quality in these doctors.
