Abstract
AgPd and CuPd alloys, containing solute concentrations of 1 at.% or less, have been implanted with radioactive 111 In atoms below and above the temperature of stage III recovery in order to create defect cascades and to study their influence on solute atom clustering. The experiments show enhanced clustering at the projectile atom as soon as vacancies become mobile, whereas at 100 K the clustering just corresponds to that expected for a random distribution of Pd atoms.
