Abstract
The textile business is one of the oldest businesses in the history of humankind. The textile market is driven synergistically by both innovation and consumer demands. Textile production technologies have evolved dramatically in the recent past. Digital printing technology was developed on trial bases in the late 1990s; however, fully inducted into the textile industry in the early 2000s. Digital printing technology is prominent in the textile products market mix at every stage. This chapter reviews market trends, especially for digitally printed textiles in the western textile market. The chapter presents an overview of the textile printed market and the future growth of digitally printed textiles. Textile digital printing is a multidisciplinary production field; hence, the future of digitally printed textiles mainly depends on several factors. Machinery providers, product manufacturers, and different market segments are also summarized in this chapter.
