Abstract

An algorithm of maintaining three-axis orbital orientation using limited angular motions of the gyrostat satellite is proposed. The algorithm uses measured angular velocity of rotation of the flywheel rotors and measured angular mismatches formed on the Earth using data of radio measurements from ground stations as the initial data. This algorithm can be applied as the reserve algorithm at failures of angle and angular velocity sensors for extending the resource of the satellite retransmitter.
