Abstract

Minority stress can significantly impact the health of LGBTQ patients. Previous literature suggests that clinicians struggle to provide adequate sexual health services to the LGBTQ community. However, literature categorizing patient-provider interactions regarding sexual practices from the patient’s perspective is sparse. Utilizing the National Survey for Family Growth (NSFG), a representative survey that focuses on reproductive health in men age 15-49, we assessed the impact of sexual orientation on clinical care surrounding patients’ sexual practices and health.
