Abstract

The article highlights the public-political system of feudal structures in Dagestan in the middle XVIII-early XIX century, analyzes the political structures, reveals specific features of their administration. All political structures of Dagestan differed from each other in their territory, location in a certain part of the region, power structure, number of villages, internal and external borders, ethnic composition of the population, different spheres of economy, position in the system of political structures of Dagestan and relationships with them and other states, their role in the life of the region as a whole. All the fiefdoms in Dagestan (except for the Syurginsk Khanate) were multi-ethnic formations, where lived different nations and ethnic groups, although one of them (Dargins, Avars, Kumyks, Lezgins, Laks, Tabasarans, Tsakhurs) was a dominant part of the population in this or that area of the region.
