Abstract
The article is devoted to the role and place of the peacekeeping contingent of the armed forces of the Russian Federation in maintaining peace and stability in Nagorno-Karabakh during the period of the resumption of hostilities. The author characterizes the complex domestic political situation in the republics, especially the criminogenic situation on the border of Nagorno-Karabakh and the warring states. The peacekeeping contingent of the Russian Federation became the guarantor of peace and security in the region during the war between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
