Abstract

Objectives The purposes of this study were to specify the relationship among academic self-efficacy, career de-cision self-efficacy, satisfaction in major and college life adjustment, and to analyze the structural relationships among them.
 Methods We collected data from 235 students and the collected data were analyzed with structural equation modeling.
 Results First, academic self-efficacy, career decision self-efficacy, satisfaction in major and college life adjust-ment were statistically significantly related to one another. Second, based on the correlation analysis results, the results of verifying the structural model between the four variables, it was confirmed that the model is statistically good. Third, an analysis of the direct and indirect effects of academic self-efficacy, career decision self-efficacy and satisfaction in major affecting college life adjustment showed that academic self-efficacy has a direct positive effect on college life adjustment, and it has more positive effect on college life adjustment in condition of media-ting career decision self-efficacy and satisfaction in major.
 Conclusions This study concluded that career decision self-efficacy and satisfaction in major are a mediator be-tween academic self-efficacy and college life adjustment, and it showed that confidence for career decision and satisfaction in major as well as academic self-efficacy are important roles to support successful adjustment on college life. The educational implications such as motivational and cognitive intervention were suggested.
