Abstract

The experiments on white rats with CCl 4 hepatitis showed the ability of lyophilized drone larvae (LDL) preparations to normalize (restore at the level of intact animals) the parameters of phagocytosis (PhAL, PPhc, PhIL) and the levels of lysozyme and total bilirubin, to increase (in comparison to the control) the level of BABS and β-lysine, and to reduce the activity of alanine aminotransferase and alkaline phosphatase. Simultaneously, LDL decreases and the level of cholesterol and triglycerides in the liver tissue and the increases the content of glycogen. The commercial preparations Apilak and LIV-52 were less effective: some parameters were retained on the control level.
