Abstract

One of the negative factors contributing to a water-electrification. Electrostatic charges generated in the piping during transportation of oil accumulated in the volume of water mixture that significantly alters the corrosivity of the aqueous phase and helps to stabilize the oil-water emulsion. As a result of electrification water emulsion occurs a change in its redox potential corrosivity and the pH value of the aqueous phase and the interfacial tension «water-oil». Thus, typically, negative charges are accumulated in the water, while the positive - concentrated in the oil due to the formation of carbocations.A method of electrostatic charge redistribution in oil emulsion by adding it to the solution of water treated with the modified electrochemical characteristics. In laboratory studies used a model prepared by formation water and a device to change the electrochemical parameters of liquid media. Measurements of pH and redox potential were carried out using a pH - meter unit. We studied the influence of electrostatic charges on the stabilization of oil-water emulsions that occur in oil during its transport by pipeline by the «sample bottle». Studies have shown that the accumulation of electrostatic charges of the oil phase leads to the stabilization of oil emulsion. The methods to prevent stabilization of emulsions based on reduction of electrostatic charge redistribution therein by introducing antistatic surfactant (surfactant), or treated water solution with modified electrochemical characteristics. It is shown that the application of the anolyte (10 vol.% ) for demulsification, has high efficiency, reaching up to 81%. Thus, the addition of the anolyte in water emulsion significantly reduces the time of its separation and does not require chemical reagents and surfactants.
