Abstract

The article presents the results of analyzing the influence of the quality of first-year students’ school training on their progress in the disciplines “Descriptive Geometry” and “Engineering Graphics” at the Department РК-1 of Bauman Moscow State Technical University. Test tasks for entrance knowledge control have been selected as a tool for the study. The results show that the quality of schooling, detected by the results of the Unified State Exam, significantly affects the students’ progress in the above-mentioned disciplines. The authors provide recommendations for improving the progress in studies in problem groups.
