Abstract
The article discusses support and development of national handicrafts has reached the level of state policy. The importance of legal acts adopted by the President and the government is being discussed. The article shows the relevance of the topic, its scientific novelty, the measures taken to further develop the national handicrafts sector, as well as the practical aspects of the problems that are still waiting to be addressed.Fergana Valley has long been one of the major cfaft centersin the region. In many cities such as Kokand, Margilan, Andijan, Shahrikhon, Chust, areas of national crafts –knitting, weaving, ceramics, blacksmithing, woodworking, embroidery, crochet, goldsmithing, needlework, are only developing.
