Abstract

The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for counseling in the metaverse space by exploring the experiences of college students who have participated in metaverse group counseling. In this study, 36 students answered to a questionnaire asking group counseling experience in metaverse space, and the data were analyzed by a consensual qualitative research-modified(CQR-M). As a result, total 4 domains and 15 categories were drawn. 4 domains were ‘self within metaverse’, ‘metaverse space’, ‘content and goals of group counseling’, and ‘group counseling process’. Based on these results, implications for counseling in the metaverse space and suggestions for future research were discussed.
