Abstract

The current research aims to find out (the effect of Carousel's strategy on synthetic thinking among second-grade intermediate students in history). In order to achieve the aim of the research, the researcher puts the following null hypothesis: 1. There is no statistically significant difference at the level of significance (0.05) between the mean scores of the students of the experimental group who study according to the Carousel strategy and the mean scores of the students of the control group who study in the traditional way in the post-synthetic thinking test. The researcher chose an experimental design with two groups, one experimental and the other control, and the two research groups (experimental - control) were rewarded in the following variables: (chronological age in months, grades of the previous year, intelligence test, tribal synthetic thinking test). The current research was limited to the students of the second intermediate grade in the Intermediate (Coalition for Boys), which is one of the schools affiliated to the city of Baghdad / Directorate of Education of Karkh 3rd. Q) From the book (Sociology) to be taught for the academic year 2022-2023 AD. The researcher adopted a "ready-made test" prepared by (Ali, 2015) as it is a modern test and serves the purposes of the current research, and it consists of (30) items, and its validity and stability have been confirmed. The results of the research showed the following: 1- The students of the experimental group who study history according to the Carousel strategy outperformed the students of the control group who study history in the traditional way in the post-synthetic thinking test.
