Abstract

Adenomatoid odontogenic tumor (16-year-old female) in the anterior mandibule was described, and immunohistochemicall detectable intermediate sized filament proteins were also examined in tumor tissue.Histologically, the tumor cells could be divided into two types; the type A cells showed spindle and columnar in shape and formed solid, ductal, tubular or whorled structures, and the type B cells showed small and compact cells located at the periphery of the A cell-containing forus.Immunohistochemically, the A tumor cells expressed slight or no staining to keratins, and the B tumor cells were characterized by co-expression with keratins and vimentin.
