Abstract

Investigation of processes of employment in recent times shows that the market transformation of the economy has led to large-scale transformations in the field ofeconomic relations and in the field of structural modernization of production was revealed in the article. It is established that the change of social relations took place in parallel with the changes in the development of productive forces in the direction from classical-industrial to information-high-tech. It is determined that the implementation of economic reforms related to the transformation of property relations, strengthened the movement of labor from public to private sector, including small business and entrepreneurship, with an important direction of employment transformation is the structural adjustment of the economy, which was carried out at the macro-, meso- and micro-level and led to the formation of new proportions of employment, strengthening the interregional and intersectional movement of labor, as well as the emergence of disparities between the qualitative characteristics of the workforce and jobs. The article focuses on the theoretical foundations of state employment, and therefore from a theoretical point of view, the regional labor market is a complex of socio­economic relations that manifest themselves simultaneously in differentforms and types of employment in a given region. At the same time, any region of the state has a personal structure, forms, types and trends of employment, has different levels of payment and income of residents, methods of regulating the labor market by local authorities. With this in view, it is established that an important role is played both from a theoretical and practical point of view of studying trends, forms, types of employment in a particular region, the manifestation was able to regulate them in the labor market to productively use labor potential, to improve the level and quality people life. Having reviewed the main approaches of scientists to the definition of the studied concept, the own definition of employment is proposed.
