Abstract

This research focuses on the concept of reviving the Prophetic Sunnah and the mechanisms involved in its revival. It aims to demonstrate the importance of reviving and establishing it as a legal basis by explaining the virtues of reviving it through prophetic hadiths, the influence of the companions and followers, and the opinions of scholars. The research also addresses the status of the Prophetic Sunnah in Islamic legislation, highlighting its significance as the second source of Islamic law after the Holy Qur'an. It explains how the Sunnah is clarified, interpreted, specified, and restricted in accordance with its general and absolute nature, resolving ambiguities and supporting its provisions through Quranic verses, prophetic hadiths, and the consensus of the imams. Furthermore, the research sheds light on the key means and mechanisms employed to revive the Prophetic Sunnah. These include raising general awareness among Muslims about the importance of spreading and working with the Sunnah, as well as emphasizing the scientific material related to the Prophetic Sunnah. It also examines the role of individuals who advocate for the revival of the Prophetic Sunnah and adherence to its teachings. The research concludes with a useful summary, highlighting the findings and conclusions derived from the study.
