Abstract

The article is an analysis and characterization of the ideological and artistic features novel "The Sad Wanderings of Lev Bebenin" by Oleg Kuvaev. Special attention is paid to the unique combination of a pronounced mythological origin, elements of a picaresque novel and documentary authenticity in it. The article also compares the story with its early edition, entitled "Requiem in the Morning".
