Abstract

In the article the author explains active and communicative method of teaching the history of literature and linguistics for foreign students. The author writes that communicative and active method is very important for foreign students. This method helps foreign students to do better oral and written language, increase vocabulary and develop language expressiveness. The author writes that this method links the human activity and its oral and written language. Spoken language develops much faster on classes of such subject as History of literature. Communicative and active method helps this process. The author writes that the lessons of literature help to develop the emotions, the thinking, and the feelings of the students. On classes of the history of literature, the students gain speaking and writing skills. Students in the classes of literature and linguistics write creative reports. The author writes that the students must do the translations to their native language on the lessons of History of literature. Communicative and active method is very effective on the linguistics classes. This method helps to learn grammar. This method helps international students to connect theory and practice. Students create linguistic stories. Linguistic stories help to develop the speech of foreign students. This method connects the communication and activity. The author writes about the need to study the texts on culture on classes of linguistics. This helps to make the students educated. This brings up aesthetic sense in students. This method develops different competences. This is an informational, creative, and cultural competence. This method is very effective for teaching foreign students.
