Abstract
В статье представлены основные этапы истории Института, прослежены истоки, традиции, современное состояние и перспективы развития основных научных направлений, мероприятий и проектов. Дано определение главного результата деятельности Института – создание алановедения /осетиноведения как комплексного научного направления, представленного исследованиями в области лингвистики, этнолингвистики, фольклора (нартоведения, музыкального фольклора), литературы, истории, археологии, этнологии, социально-политических исследований. The article presents the main stages of the history of the Institute, traces the origins, traditions, current state and prospects for the development of the main scientific areas, events and projects. The definition of the main result of the Institute's activities is the creation of Alan studies/Ossetian studies as a complex scientific direction, represented by research in the field of linguistics, ethnolinguistics, folklore (Nart studies, musical folklore), literature, history, archeology, ethnology, socio-political research.
