Abstract

Currently, due to the highly politically loaded situation in the modern world in general and in particular in Russia, a lot of research is devoted to political discourse, in which emotions are actively represented. There are many ways to induce a person to a certain action, among them verbal and non-verbal means aimed at the awakening of certain emotions - the basis of human behavior. In this article an attempt is made to analyze D. Trump’s election speech from the point of view of its communicative impact on the audience.
