Abstract

The purpose of this study is to provide evidence concerning the effects of authentic leadership, social loafing, and job engagement in the hotel company. The study conducted theoretical and empirical studies. The data were collected from employees in deluxe hotels of Daegu and Busan. The results of analysis are: First, authentic leadership was positively related to job engagement. Second, authentic leadership had effects on social loafing. Third, job engagement had effects on social loafing. Fourth, authentic leadership had indirect effects on social loafing. Therefore, this study is significant in that its findings allow management to implement efficient management. Based on the results of this study, further studies should focus on establishing the concepts used to measure supervisors
