Abstract

In the east of Khabarovsk Krai live a small people — the Orochi. Their habitat is Vaninsky and adjacent districts. In the fall of 2021, the expedition conducted research on contemporary ethnic processes among the Orochi in the places of their maximum concentration — the villages of Ust-Orochi and Datta. A mass survey with 100% coverage was conducted and 122 questionnaires were completed. The article deals with demographic and migration processes, linguistic and ethno-cultural processes, national-mixed marriages, and mestizaje of the Orochi.
