Abstract

The research of flow modeling efficiency on the base of ECOMAG (ECOlogical Model for Applied Geophysics, author Y. Motovilov, Russia) from river basins with different catchment areas from 300 to 100 000 km² in the Oka River basin is presented. Calculations of the flow were carried out with the use of 2 digital terrain models with scales 2x2 km and 50x50 m. Satisfactory results were obtained for all basins. The main conditions for successful modeling of the flow from small catchment areas were detected.
