Abstract

This study aims to conduct an analysis of the status of sports for the disabled and propose a policy to revitalize sports for the disabled to create an environment in which the disabled can actively participate in sports activities based on the information derived from this. To this end, big data analysis, individual in-depth interviews, and opinions of the Gyeonggi-do City Sports Association for the Disabled were investigated. In addition, through group discussions, long measures were derived to revitalize sports for the disabled through expert advice and in-depth meetings. As a result, policies were proposed to promote sports for the disabled in terms of strengthening the role of city and county councils, establishing cooperative projects with related ministries, and promoting sports for the disabled in terms of daily sports, professional sports, school sports, and rehabilitation sports.
