Abstract

The author developed a computer program for the free vibration analyses of three dimensional solid structures by using the Sylvester-transfer stiffness coefficient method introducing the rectangular hexahedron element of the finite element analysis. In this paper, the computational algorithm for the free vibration analyses of three dimensional solid structures is formulated by the proposed method. The computer program is applied to the free vibration analyses of three dimensional solid structures which are a cube, an anvil, and a three dimensional cantilever beam structure. The trust of the proposed method is confirmed by comparing numerical results of the proposed method with those of the finite element method, experiment and analytical solution.
