Abstract

This work aims to present the life and art of Vladimir Ayvazyan. He is one of those 20th-century Armenian Soviet artists who worked mainly in the sphere of graphics. In the process of a rich creative path, he was interested in various genres and themes - landscape and urban landscape, he depicted the reliefs of medieval Armenian churches, painted views of rural areas and rural everyday life, created etchings of the animal genre. Most of his work is made in the technique of etching - aquatint, reservation, soft varnish. They are distinguished by high professionalism and skill. The aim of the work is to understand and realize the artistic life of Armenia in the Soviet period, in particular the development of easel graphics in this and subsequent periods through the study of Ayvazyan's works. The work is composed on the basis of artistic, stylistic and etching technique studies of the artist's works. Based on the results of the study, it can be claimed that V. Ayvazyan is one of the prominent artists of the Soviet period, who contributed to the development of Armenian mechanical graphics.
