В статье рассматривается перевод лексем поля военной лексики в курантах – обзорах иностранной прессы, выполнявшихся служащими Посольского приказа для нужд московской политической элиты. Материалом исследования являются как уже опубликованные источники из серии «Вести-Куранты» (шестой и седьмой тома), так и неопубликованные переводы вместе с их оригиналами из РГАДА. Ф. 155. Оп. 1. 1691 г. Исследовательское внимание сосредоточено на рассмотрении техники перевода наименований армейских структурных подразделений. По мнению автора настоящей статьи, пристальный взгляд на слова одной тематической группы может показать неосвоенность определенных понятий, встречающихся в иностранных газетах. Мы поставили цель проследить историю перевода обозначений военных структурных подразделений и обнаружили, что переводчик при их передаче мог использовать различные стратегии. Он мог подобрать эквивалент сразу, изменить перевод в пользу освоенного заимствования, а также позаимствовать вмещающее все значения оригинала русское понятие из военной литературы. The article examines the translation of the lexemes of the field of military vocabulary in the kuranty – reviews of the foreign press, carried out by employees of the Ambassadorial Chancery for the needs of the Moscow political elite. The research materials include both already published sources from the Vesti-Kuranty series (sixth and seventh volumes) and unpublished translations together with their originals from the Russian State Archive of Ancient Acts, Fund 155, Inventory 1, 1691. The research focuses on the technique of translating the names of army structural units. In the opinion of the author of this article, a close look at the words of one thematic group may show the lack of development of certain concepts found in foreign newspapers. We set a task to trace the history of translating the designations of military structural units and found that the translator could use various strategies when transmitting them. He could choose the equivalent right away, change the translation in favor of a learned loan, and also borrow a Russian concept from military literature that contains all the meanings of the original.
