Abstract

Early orthodontic treatment with braces is an orthodontic treatment using partial brace system in the first phase of mixed dentition (8-9 years). The problem of early treatment with braces in children remains open: some doctors are sure that braces can be used only after all premolars and second molars have erupted. However, the active growth of the dental system in adolescents is almost complete by this time, so it is necessary to wisely harness the potential for jaw growth and not miss an important moment in the formation of the dental system. The goal of early orthodontic treatment is to prevent or minimize skeletal, dentoalveolar and muscular disorders in the dentofacial region by the end of the transitional period.
