영화진흥위원회 부산 이전과 부산영화 산업

Abstract

영화진흥위원회는 영화에 관하여 문화체육관광부의 역할을 위임받아 수행하는 기관이다. 공기관 지방이전 계획에 따라서 2013년 부산이전을 앞두고 있다. 부산 국제 영화제로 유명한 부산시는 단순히 영화제를 개최하는 페스티발 도시이기를 거부하고, 영화산업을 적극 육성하고자 그동안 많은 투자를 하여 왔다. 영진위의 부산 이전을 계기로, 한국영화정책에서 부산을 한국영화산업을 이끄는 또 하나의 축으로 설정하여, 한국영화의 미래를 위한 투자를 촉진하여야 할 것이다. 서울, 경기 지역과 부산지역을 한국영화의 두 개의 port로 삼고, 종합촬영소 건설, 영화제작 펀드 조성, 다양성 영화를 통한 영화 인재 육성, ASEAN 국가들과의 국제교류 강화를 통한 한국영화의 국제화 등이 앞으로의 과제이다. Korean Film Council (KOFIC) is entrusted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Republic of Korea, aiming to support and promote Korean films. With the government's policy for balanced regional development, KOFIC head office will be relocated to Busan. Busan is famous for the Busan International film Festival and their effort for Korean film industry. Until now, the Korean film industry is concentrated on the Seoul metropolitan areas. With the relocation of KOFIC, it is the time for KOFIC to recognize and promote and Busan as the Second key Cluster of Korean film industry. With the cooperation with Busan Film Commission, KOFIC needs to set up the new promotion plan for Korean film industry for future including building new film production studio, raising regional film production fund, and scouting new talented filmmakers.
