Abstract

One of the main requirements for a psychologist in the process of psychocorrectional work is the awareness of the real results of their activities and the effectiveness of the psychological tools used. In this regard, the article attempts to identify the main criteria for the effectiveness of psychocorrectional work, which have a positive effect on the general state of mental, physical and somatic health of a person. For a more objective assessment of the results of such activities, the author considers several significant factors. First, psychologists, by virtue of their individual qualities, can consider the same problem from different angles, and use a variety of techniques and means to achieve the required results, so it is difficult to assess the effectiveness of psychocorrectional work. Secondly, the effectiveness of the results of psychocorrectional work is largely related to the personal characteristics of the clients themselves, i.e. if it does not show sufficient activity, or does not follow the recommendations of a psychologist, then the result will be ineffective. Thirdly, the effectiveness of the results of psychocorrectional activity is significantly influenced by social factors, among which are the position in society, relationships in the family, the sphere of professional activity, etc. Evaluation of the effectiveness of psychocorrectional work can be different depending on who evaluates this work, since the expert's point of view largely determines the final assessment of its success or failure. To assess the results of psychocorrection in the process of counseling a specific person, one can proceed from the most objective criteria, including: social fitness; personality traits; professional fitness; academic success.
