Abstract

The article examines the complicated system of the Ingush tense forms. The authors mention the obligatory relation of the verb tense with the moment of speech; identify the bases, from which verb tense forms are constructed. The paper describes in detail the ways to construct tense forms and phonetic changes occurring in verbs during this process: affixes expressing negative tense forms; suffixes added to participle - adverbial participle forms of the Present and Past Tense; regressive assimilation processes and the changes of root vowels of the infinitive.
