Abstract
The author examines auditory thinking as a means of rational cognition of irrational phenomena, a means of modelling the acoustic worldview. The study focuses on social determination of auditory thinking, which is a means of non-verbal communication. Non-verbalized meaning presented in an auditory form is the most efficient means to influence human mentality, mass consciousness, to establish models of social behaviour. Auditory thinking reconstructs and transforms unconscious thoughts, emotions to clear, subjectified acoustic models. Audition not only represents objective reality but transforms it, promotes the formation and manifestation of new ideals.
