Abstract

Specific theatricalization by means of musical expressiveness is manifested in modern choral music in many ways. The creation of a choral work focused on theatrical interpretation is connected with the solution by a composer of a number of artistic tasks when composing a musical score with director’s instructions. The aim of the article is to identify the means of expressing choral music in the field of theatrical art. The scientific novelty consists in presenting a general picture of the state of modern choral theatre with a reflection of its inherent communicative expressive means. As a result of the study, the author comes to the conclusion that choral performances have great communicative capabilities, since the complex of expressive means used helps to simultaneously draw several semantic lines of the work.
