Abstract
The article examines the critical problems of the demography of Russia, which have now become aggravated due to the viral pandemic. Mortality, fertility and natural population decline for 2020 and 2021 and their forecast until 2030 are considered. Measures to overcome the demographic catastrophe are proposed.
