Abstract

A refinement of the essence of the category of efficiency in modern conditions is presented. It is emphasized that the development of the concept remains evolutionary, which in the modern interpretation requires taking into account the balance of interests of all participants, the rational interaction of the organization with the external environment, and the development of business socialization. A correction of managerial decisions on business development under the influence of increased pressure of external factors on efficiency is proposed. The social significance of the category is stated, which determines the priority of the social content of efficiency, the most important for the activities of oil and gas producing enterprises. Classification of types of efficiency is systematized. The importance of external and internal efficiency for social efficiency is emphasized.
