Abstract

The literature sources were analyzed, on the basis of the analysis of which the purpose of the study was formulated – the development of a mathematical model for calculating the radial beating of the rim of the brake drum, taking into account the deviations of geometry. The developed mathematical model for calculating the radial runout of the brake drum rim allows determining the maximum value of the protrusions on the inner surface of the metal friction element in order to minimize the magnitude of forced vibrations of transverse and angular displacements of the brake pads of power devices during the interaction of friction pairs. This model is suitable for quan-tifying the machining of the working surface of the brake drum rims with minimizing the resulting eccentricity during long-term operation.
