Abstract

The current study aimed to identify:- 1- Parental treatment methods for middle school students. 2- Statistically significant differences according to the gender variable (male - female) and specialization (scientific - literary). The research sample consisted of (500) male and female students from preparatory schools in Al-Diwaniyah Governorate and for the scientific and literary majors. As for the search tools Parental treatment styles The researcher built a scale consisting of (5) methods for each style (6) items. The researcher extracted the psychometric properties of the scales and then processed the data statistically by using the appropriate statistical methods such as (SPSS) bag. The study reached the following results:- 1- Parental treatment methods are arranged according to arithmetic circles (neglect, democracy, vacillation, authoritarianism, excessive protection). 2- There are statistically significant differences - Neglect method: There are statistically significant differences for the gender variable, but for specialization, there are no statistically significant differences The authoritarian and vacillating style and the overprotective style. The results showed that there are no statistically significant differences with respect to the variable of sex and specialization. Keywords/methods of parental treatment - middle school students
