Abstract

The article presents the results of a study of theoretical and methodological aspects of ensuring sustainable development of enterprises in the context of organizing their strategic management. Based on the analysis of the results of a number of foreign and Russian studies, the main difference between the concepts of “sustainable development” and “sustainability of an enterprise” is determined and the criteria for sustainable development of an enterprise are systematized. Taking into account the principles of sustainable development of an enterprise, focused on ensuring a combination of economic, social and environmental aspects of its activities, the characteristics of its types from the standpoint of society, the individual, the economy and the ecology of the enterprise are given. Conclusions are made about the influence of organizational, structural and methodological factors on the effectiveness of strategic management of sustainable development of an enterprise.
