Abstract

The article is devoted to the presentation and analysis of innovative methods of teaching IT discipline. The goals, content, methods and means of teaching the discipline Workshop on IT Management, developed at the Financial University, are considered. The presented methodological innovations can be divided into two types: innovations in the content of the discipline, as well as innovations in the teaching methods of the discipline. The first type of innovations is based on the architectural approach, Architecture Development Method from TOGAF, as well as approaches to the analysis and design of an IT management system. Innovations of the second type are based on the integrated integration of the following approaches into the teaching methodology of the discipline: the project approach, the case method, adaptive case management, and design thinking methods. The article demonstrates the main areas of application of these approaches in the process of teaching the discipline and guiding educational projects on business transformation. The problems of forming a business transformation case based on the use of IT in the form of an educational project carried out by a team of students are identified. The most effective educational methods are presented to eliminate the identified problems. The analysis carried out within the framework of this study made it possible to identify which methodological techniques allow achieving the stated goals of the discipline.
